AUGUST LEAGUE MEETING
18th August 2006
Clubs are advised that the next
League meeting takes place at the Acton Court Hotel (off the A6
in Heavily, Stockport) on Thursday 24th August at 8pm. It is extremely
important that all clubs have at least one representative at the
meeting, as a lot of important information for the forthcoming season
will be handed out at this meeting.
Any problems then please contact
Ged Conlon on 07989 030364.
PITCH INFO REQUIRED
14th July 2006
Fixtures secretary Pete Moore
requires details of your pitch allocation for the 2006/07 season.
As soon as it is known please let Pete know details of the pitch
that your team has been allocated and the week which your team has
use of the pitch (A or B).
Send details to peter.moore22@btinternet.com
NOTES FROM THE AGM
19th June 2006
The AGM was held at the Acton
Court on Thursday 8th June and some brief notes from that meeting
are as follows:
The League will be made up of
two Divisions next season and the constitution will be as follows:
DIVISION ONE: Bramhall Athletic,
Drum & Monkey, High Grove, High Lane 1sts, Summerfield, The
Albert, Torpedo, Woodley Albion
DIVISION TWO: Bulls Head, D&C
Athletic, Frog & Railway, Heald Green, High Lane 2nds, North
West Fire, Poynton United, Westlands, Wilmslow Albion
Two new teams were accepted
into the League and they are Frog & Monkey and Heald Green
both will start in Division Two.
The new season will start on
Sunday 3rd September. As there are an uneven number of teams in
Division Two, any team wishing to miss playing on the first weekend
of the season must let the committee know as early as possible.
Poynton Uniteds Glyn Williams
was presented with the secretary of the year award.
The League's accounts are looking
very healthy!
League fee's for next season
will be increased by £5 - this amount is to cover the purchase
of a new club fact file booklet.
HIGH LANE 2 : 5 REAL REFORM
1st May 2005
In short, an unhappy day for
the ECSFL flag-bearers High Lane at Edgeley Park today.
A string of Stockport-league-centric
biased decisions from a referee on whom Mel Pomfrett of the Stockport
F.A. commented as 'not having had his best game'. A broken leg.
And a sending off.
Having said that, Brockers commented
that Real Reform were the better team but what got on his tats was
the manner in which High Lane lost.
CHEADLE VALE DECISION
29th April 2005
With only the first division
runners-up spot left to contest this season the League Committee,
together with representatives from Drum & Monkey F.C. and High
Lane F.C., have decided to keep only their best result of their
games with Cheadle Vale rather than expunge Cheadle Vale's record.
HIGH LANE IN EDGELEY PARK
FINAL
28th April 2005
Our very own High Lane F.C.
meet Real Reform in the final of the Stockport F.A. Trophy on
Sunday 1st May at Edgeley Park.
Kick-off is at 11am and entry
should only be buttons so get on down to the 'Theatre of Nightmares'
and cheer on the ECSFL's first ever finalists in this comptetion.
I don't know about you, but
I'd quite like to see a team I support win at Edgeley Park this
season.
Plus, High Lane are posh (like
our League before the pikey-boys joined us) and I'm sure Real Reform
are not - another reason to cheer High Lane. See you there!
THE KING IS DEAD
28th April 2005
Long live me! Huzzah!
I'm back. I'm still looking
for someone with time as well as the ability to run this
League's web site but in the mean-time I'll do it.
We've a new message board which
is so swanky it can be viewed in classic stylee, 'phorum' stylee
(mostly the choice of chavs who write txt spk) or a mix of both.
