All games are on subject to referee's pitch inspection. Just a reminder of the letter issued earlier this week, club officials cannot call the game off, this needs to be done by a referee. You can ask your appointed referee to look at the pitch on Saturday afternoon and you must pay him for his visit.

I will let Craig explain.................
xxx
Explain !......Oh I will
Explain !......Oh I will explain all right.....
First it's off, then it's on again. Then that lot are doing the threat thing.
They can't just say, "Chaps would you mind........"
Oh no, it's got to be the full third reich, "You will do this, you will comply and pay a referee money for something he doesn't want to do anyway"
So forget the obvious weather for a minute... suppose a plane lands on Jim Evison playing fields this friday night......does the referee still have to go and see if the survivors have been moved by saturday.
So on to this boggy pitch we go with nine men and me and a force ten wind from the perfect 'bloody storm' (Nice win of the toss Jimmy)in our face.
Merseys goalie scores all seven of theirs.
Change round and the wind drops !
I am now playing every week (apart from the Macc cup) when I am not busy moving logs, or cleaning cars for charity.
Hang on, what am I on about here..........
Plane? Plane? You really
Plane? Plane? You really should have seen that spaceship the week before.....
We are due to play Westlands
We are due to play Westlands at Jim Evison on Sunday morning.
Who has been appointed to check the pitch for plane crashes this week and could you let me know by Saturday if we need to arrive early to help clear the pitch.
Oh yes...... Community
Oh yes......
Community service. That's what I'm doing every week for fifty years!
Cut my elbow on tuesday and broke a nail on Wednesday.
It's like Dava says....there is no justice in the world when someone like me has to get out of bed.
Then I've got Cheshire FA on thursday...'You owe us £750 or you're banned.
Then East Cheshire on friday.....'You owe us money for something else we have just made up'.
Then I have to face that noisy lot of alcoholics on sunday, lording it up thinking all of a sudden they are a great team and giving it the charlie big time when they were lucky to have scored the one goal. Mersey were quite well behaved from what I can remember. And at least Dom and Joe signed for me at the end of the game.

Richmond 2nds 6 D&C 1
What was a fairly even game mostly helped by the wind Richmond took their chances well. Cashy opened the scoring after 7 minutes with a well taken individual effort. In the 33rd minute John Jackson scored his first of the game and Richmond lead 2 - 0 at half time. John added his second 10 minutes into the second half which spurred D&C into action who immediately replied with a goal of their own. John added 2 more before being replaced by his brother Matt who scored the final goal to make it a convincing scoreline. Well reffed by Mark Porter in what was a clean and very enjoyable game

2-0 up at half time. Goals from Macca & the Wildeman. Took our foot off the gas in the 2nd half & Hoylake came back into it & deserved the 2-2.

Close game in very difficult conditions. Lions missed a handful of good chances before Poynton capitalised and took theirs.
Very true indeed Tim, Crap
Very true indeed Tim,
Crap weather wind was bad for both teams but Cheadle took the first half with stand in keeper Rick Tindall making 2 excellent saves one on one.
Second half we were better and took our chances with Iain Bailey and Faulky doing the damage. Not one bad challenge in the game.
It's hard standing on the side lines with a broken leg but what made it better is the performance of the lads.
Also excellent ref - think he is new to the league but very good indeed.

North West Fire vs Richmond
North West Fire vs Richmond Rovers 1sts ( Division 2 Cup )
NWF 1 RRFC 3 (HT 1-0)
On a difficult day the pitch and the wind were the winners.
First half NWF chose to have the wind at their backs and scored from a long throw, a weapon that caused us problems all through the half. We played as poorly as we have played all season albeit the conditions didn't help.
Second half with the wind at our backs we seemed to relax and play the better football. Again a long throw was the route to goal followed by a free header from a corner and a late tap in double pirouette from Tipper.
Happy to get back to playing football again but could do with a bit less weather next week please.
Richmond 2 v D&C Athletic -
Richmond 2 v D&C Athletic - Div 3 Cup
D&C started the game well and had a good spell before RR broke and scored. The game evened out and RR added to their lead after some weak defending. The rest of the half remained even and D&C felt the scoreline didn't really reflect the game, we had chances saved and a couple of goal mouth scrambles cleared.
Second half, RR came at us more & more and scored when an unmarked player got on the end of a corner. D&C woke up a bit after this and were rewarded with a goal after M. Barlow was left to slot past an onrushing keeper, we almost scored again within 2 minutes when our striker rounded the GK but took it too far to get a decent shot off and another goal-line clearance saw RR keep their 2 goal lead. RR countered and scored to effectively kill the game off. They added another later on after D&Cs effort levels dropped drastically.
Another poor 2nd half cost us greatly. Very good job done by the ref, although it was a good clean game.
